Rain, UV and winter damp will age outdoor furniture long before it wears out from use. A well-fitted cover is the difference between furniture that lasts a season and furniture that lasts a decade.
HEVEA makes outdoor furniture covers to measure, in our own workshop in Murcia, Spain. Not fixed sizes off a shelf — every cover is cut to the dimensions you send us, which means it fits closely enough to stay put in wind and shed water instead of pooling it.

Not every piece needs the same protection. A parasol left up all summer has different demands from a sofa set stored through a Yorkshire winter.
Alpha — medium protection. Breathable, water-resistant fabric for pieces that stay in use through the season and need shelter from dust, pollen and light rain. The lightest option to handle and store.
Gamma — fully waterproof. Our heaviest grade, in beige, dark grey or light grey. For exposed positions, coastal sites and winter storage where the furniture takes weather head-on.
All three are UV-treated and made to the same finishing standard: reinforced seams, ventilation where it’s needed, and fixings that hold in wind.
Most patio furniture covers are sold in three or four standard sizes and you choose the nearest. It’s why so many covers flap, pool water on the top, or ride up in the first gale.
We work the other way round. You send us the width, depth and height of the piece — or tell us the model if it’s ours — and we cut the cover to those dimensions in our workshop in Murcia. We’ve been manufacturing outdoor textiles for over 30 years, and covers are made to the same specification as our contract work for hotels and hospitality.
That applies whether the furniture is HEVEA or not. Most of the covers we make are for other brands’ furniture.
Measure the widest point, the deepest point and the total height, in centimetres, with the furniture in the position it will be stored. Add nothing for tolerance — we build that in. If the piece has a canopy, arms or a table underneath, tell us: we account for the shape, not just the box it fits inside.
Our Gamma grade is fully waterproof. Alpha is water-resistant and breathable, which suits furniture in regular use. Water-resistant fabric sheds rain but allows moisture vapour out, which prevents the condensation and mildew you get under a sealed cover on damp furniture.
Aluminium frames survive winter outdoors, but cushions, textilene and timber degrade quickly under frost and standing water. If you can’t store pieces indoors, a cover is the practical alternative — and the reason most covers fail is fit, not fabric.

Manufacturing lead times vary by season and fabric. We’ll confirm a date with your quote — spring and early summer are the busiest periods, so allow extra time from March onwards.
Sponge with cold water and mild soap, and let it dry fully before storing. Don’t machine wash, tumble dry or pressure wash: it breaks down the waterproof coating and the seam sealing.
