Are aluminium pergolas suitable for the British weather?

Yes. Aluminium does not rust, and our Qualicoat powder coating protects the frame against UV, moisture and salt air. Textilene canopies are weather-resistant, but as with any shade canopy we recommend retracting or removing the fabric during storms or very strong winds.

Do I need planning permission for a pergola?

Most freestanding garden pergolas fall under permitted development in the UK, but the rules depend on height, position and the type of property. We recommend checking with your local planning authority before installation, particularly for listed buildings or front gardens.

Can you make a pergola to my exact size?

Yes. Alongside our 3 × 3 m and 4 × 3 m models, we manufacture bespoke aluminium pergolas made to measure. Send us your dimensions and we will advise on the best structure and canopy for your space.

How are the pergolas delivered and installed?

Our pergolas are delivered to the UK as a prefabricated kit with the frame, fixings and canopy included. Assembly typically takes a few hours and no building work is required. Floor anchors for the Venecia model are not included.

What canopy colours are available?

Our textilene canopies are available in four colours: white, anthracite, taupe and brown.
